Final week of Observation and Imagination course with the Royal Drawing School, London.

We started with drawing from the film Vivian’s Garden, using watercolours and markers (see video above). This way of working is so quick and fun – a great way to experiment – and you are building up a reference library for yourself all the while…we took about 5 minutes for each drawing.

Our teacher Constanza posed for us with her beautiful dog –

A second dog joined in for the second pose – even more movement which was great :)

Next we did some animal studies, based on sketches by Pisanello…followed by a composite image which was part imagined.

Final Drawing of the day(above) – combining earlier drawings and adding imagination.
