Naturama Scéal Trail in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin
Finally got to visit my Scéal Trail (“story” trail) in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin this month and took these photos. Dún Laoghaire Libraries organised two Naturama Scéal Trils in Dublin earlier this year. One is up on the Lexicon building (which houses the theatre, library, and exhibition/cultural space) and the other is in Cabinteely Park. There’s a section from the book printed up big so you can incorporate a little bit of nature reading into your walk! Such a beautiful initiative. Naturama is the Irish wildlife book for children that I illustrated, written by Michael Fewer and published by Gill Books. It came out in 2016, is a number one bestseller when it came out in 2016, and has sold over 12,000 copies. My Naturama Nature Journal came out in 2017 and is a companion workbook with lots of activities to do out in nature all through the year.
