#100daysofbicycles Days 31-40
It’s such a buzz to draw something for someone! I decided early on just to draw the bikes belonging to people I know so each drawing is a gift for that person, and the whole project has a million times more meaning for me than if I was to simply google some images.
Before I got full time into illustration my main drawing came about from birthday cards for my friends and I would put loads of love into them. If I can find a way to bring the same energy into all of my work then things turn out good…
The day to day delivery of the collection has become as much about social media as it is about bicycles and I’m really enjoying seeing the momentum growing. At the end of this segment I started making videos of me drawing the bikes using the app hyperlapse and speeding it up 40 times. I also made a how-to which will be of interest to my digital illustration students. Enjoy :)
